Acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of conditions. Depending on the ailment, 4-15 sterile, single-use thin, disposable needles are used during a treatment and remain in the body from 15 to 40 minutes. Each needle measures about three times the thickness of a human hair and is designed to enter the skin with little resistance.
Treatments effects may include a tingling feeling, a heavy sensation in the limbs, a pleasant feeling of relaxation – some people feel nothing at all.
